1. What coaching is here
Coaching is a structured, forward-looking working relationship. Your coach helps you clarify what you want, identify what is in the way, and build a plan you carry out between sessions.
2. What coaching is not
Coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, medical care, legal advice or financial advice. Your coach will not diagnose a condition, will not treat one, and will not advise you on medication.
Some of our coaches also hold clinical licences. They are not acting in that capacity here. If you need clinical care, your coach will help you find it — that referral is part of the job, not a failure of it.
3. Your coach's independence
Coaches are independent practitioners engaged through the platform. We verify identity, qualifications, insurance and references at onboarding and re-verify annually. We do not direct the content of your sessions.
4. Confidentiality, and its limits
What you say in a session is confidential between you and your coach.
Your coach may break confidentiality only where they reasonably believe:
- there is an imminent risk to your life or someone else's;
- a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm; or
- disclosure is required by law or court order.
Where they do, they will tell you what they disclosed and to whom, unless doing so would increase the risk.
Your Sponsor never receives session content, attendance-level detail about you, or any indication that you booked.
5. Records
Your coach keeps brief working notes. You may request a copy at any time. Notes are retained for seven years where professional standards require it, then destroyed.
6. Group events
Group events (including Fish Bowl sessions) are shared spaces. Other participants are bound by the Community Guidelines, but we cannot guarantee their discretion — share at the level you are comfortable with in a room of peers. Recordings are made only where announced at the start, and you may ask to be excluded.
7. Booking, cancellation and no-shows
- Cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before a 1:1 session.
- Inside 24 hours the session is chargeable, unless there is an emergency.
- If your coach cancels inside 24 hours, the session is rescheduled at no cost.
- Group events can be released up to 2 hours before, so the seat can be reallocated.
8. Ending the engagement
Either of you may end the engagement at any time. If your coach believes your needs are outside their scope, they will say so and help you find appropriate support. Unused prepaid sessions are refunded.
9. Complaints
Concerns about a coach: trust@icare-now.com. We investigate every complaint, tell you the outcome, and remove practitioners who breach these terms.
